Accepting and Processing Food Donations
We gladly accept a wide variety of donations of excess, bulk protein items.
We are quipped to handle donations between 40 - 2000 lb cases.
Items may be donated fresh, frozen, raw, partially cooked, or fully cooked
We efficiently repackage these items into smaller sizes, making them ready for distribution to food banks.
By repurposing and preventing food waste, we help mitigate food waste while ensuring that valuable resources reach those in need through our collaboration with food banks.

Food safety is our top priority. We adhere to stringent sanitation protocols to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
Our Protein Repack Room undergoes a comprehensive daily sanitation process, ensuring all surfaces, walls, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned.
We conduct weekly deep cleaning sessions, addressing every detail to uphold optimal hygiene.
Regular temperature monitoring, every 1-2 hours, guarantees the proper cold chain management and food safety.
Bi-weekly Listeria and Salmonella swab tests on all repacked protein stored in the freezer, ensuring the utmost safety before distribution.

Fresh Connect Central streamlines the distribution process to ensure a seamless experience for food banks.
Once the repacked protein passes our rigorous safety tests, we store it in our freezer until a food bank places an order.
Through weekly emails featuring available inventory, food banks can easily select the products they require.
We offer flexibility in shipping options, whether it's arranging freight or allowing food banks to use their own carriers for pickup.
Our goal is to provide timely and convenient access to protein for food banks to serve their communities.
Why do we charge a Value Added Process (VAP) fee for our donated repacked protein?
We employ a team of regular workers to ensure consistent hours of operation and higher levels of efficiency are met.
The cost of materials used, like boxes, bags, labels, plastic, trays, tape, and more all is factored into the price.
The cost of freight to pick up the product and the storage and handling of it once it comes to our warehouse is included in the final price as well.
All efforts are made to ensure the lowest possible purchase price for our partners.
